NYC Curve Model in the Garment District, wearing Ava James NYC dress

Life has been a complete whirlwind ever since I signed on to Wilhelmina’s Curve division just recently. I’m a new transplant to NYC, having moved here from Toledo, Ohio (woot woot!) with a short stint in Atlanta. I’m just another small-town girl, trying to make it big in the concrete jungle.

My days are all about castings, notices, and basically being 100% on call for my agent. Naturally, I have to keep myself in tip top shape for my clients - that means maintaining my measurements and keeping my skin as pristine as possible. It helps that I’m a total skincare obsessive! I love trying out different masks and exfoliating techniques.

As a curve model, I’m really excited about a new fashion brand that is finally catering to real women/ I’m 5’11 and “hip-py”. Talk about a total nightmare when trying to find pieces that fit my hips and legs. Usually separates aren’t so bad; pants and dresses are impossible. Also, can someone please explain why it’s so difficult to find dressy outfits bigger than a size 12? Whatever it is, I’m glad someone is trying to (finally) fill the gap!
